Cancelling a scheduled interview because a candidate was found?

Have you ever heard of this? My interview was cancelled and when I asked why, they said because they found a candidate. How can they make an offer without conducting all the interviews? I find that so unprofessional. It sucks, because I didn't even get a chance. I have had the worst luck in my job search

I find that move extremely unprofessional. They really should've interviewed all the candidates before making a decision. To cancel subsequent interviews and tell people it's because they extended an offer to someone already is rude. The whole point of the interview process is to get a good number of candidates and explore options and to do something like that is really just short-changing themselves.
