Need help with babysitting rates...
My best friend's niece has a 3 month old baby (that I am in love with)...and she has asked if I would be interested in babysitting her for about 5 hours a day Monday through Friday. I dont usually babysit and I definitely dont babysit infants. Keep in mind this is a VERY close family friend.
How much would you charge per hour or per day? I dont want to take advantage obviously but I want it to be worth my while too.
Any ideas? TIA.

I would say $8-10 range. Its a close family friend, but its also an infant which requires constant care.

5 hours a day 5 days a week at $10 = $250
that seems pretty fair, but maybe you could just say $200 a week since it's a close family friend??

most babysitters charge $10, if you are very close friends i'd charge $5-7.
