Side dish ideas to go with grilling steaks?
We're firing up the BBQ & making some steaks for Father's Day on Sunday...any good side dish ideas to go with it?

A couscous salad ... I usually throw in frozen peas (steamed), canned corn (boiled quickly), thinly sliced shallots (raw), salt & pepper). There are tons of recipes on foodtv.com for couscous side-dished though if you want to make something from a real recipe.

Broccoli Salad
Mix Night Before
2 cups mayo
2 tbls wine vinegar
¾ cups sugar
Salad
2 heads broccoli
1 ½ lbs sharp cheddar
1 ½ lbs bacon fried & crumbled
2 small red onions
Mix together and serve

I tend to try to cook everything on the grill... no kitchen clean up!
Grilled sweet potatos. I'll buy the big ones, cut them in half, then cut each half open to make 4 smaller pieces. I'll cut criss cross lines on top, drizzle olive oil on them and put them on the bbq... they come out amazing!
Grilled asparagus - drizzled with olive oil, salt, pepper and a little bit of garlic powder
Grilled veggie kabobs
other sides:
macaroni salad
potato salad
baked beans
cole slaw
salad

Thanks for all the great suggestions!
So far, I decided on
-grilled corn
-fresh tomato, mozzarella, and basil salad w/ balsamic drizzle
-grilled/marinated portabello mushrooms
-roasted red potatoes (the only thing I'm actually cooking in the kitchen )
I also got some jumbo shrimp to throw on the grill, so we'll have a little "Surf & Turf"

try roasting the peppers on the bbq...they are sooooo delicious and easy
