entenmanns and nut allergies

Hello,

Does anyone know if Entenmanns Popems, mini donuts or mini bites are nut free? My son wants them for his class party but one of the children has a nut allergy. Thanks for your help.

Re: entenmanns and nut allergies

I would read the labels for this:
“May contain traces of peanuts/nuts,” or “Manufactured in a facility
or on equipment that also processes peanuts (and/or other nuts).”

Re: entenmanns and nut allergies

my dad worked there a while back, and i know that while he was there they were very thorough about washing out lines between runs to avoid contamination, but the factory itself still processes nuts.

since then they've been bought out a few times and the factory on the island is pretty bare bones as far as production goes. most of it's product has been shipped out to other factories. they *should* have a warning on the box, but if you're still concerned i'd call the 800 number.

Both of my kids have peanut/tree nut allergies. We do not eat any Entenmanns at all. Our Allergist advised against it.

I would definitely not bring them they process nuts in their plants. Additionally I had 2 allergist tell me that Entenmanns tends to cause a lot of people allergic reactions (the preservatives in it for some reason bothers a lot of people) so they advise against eating them.
