What to wear........ uh oh
Girls I'm freaking out a little. I'm showing. No bones about it. I wasn't thin when I started this process but I wasn't a plus size, either. My ass is huge and I am showing in the belly.
Here's the sitch: I have a baby shower Saturday and I do not want to show. it's too early at 8 weeks to tell anyone (personally for me in my comfort zone) I have no idea what to wear!  Drapey tops make me look more pregnant (I never really liked them anyway) and now I can't wear any of my dresses because you can see the belly.....

My jeans are tight!! I have to unbutton them and fold them already. I bought maternity jeans but they are still too big. My only saving grace is that no one can tell since I had a big belly beforehand 
Maybe a shirt the next size up that isnt too too tight but not big and flowy either. I know those empire shirts make non pregnant people look pregnant. Ick.

I agree!! I would wear a bigger shirt that isn't too flowy. I did this a couple of days ago when we had to see all of DHs family and no one noticed... well, no one said anything at least and that's all I was aiming for! LOL

I have the same problem and am 7 weeks. I actually just bought two tops (one at Ann Taylor Loft and the other at Macy's) that are kind of "in" right now, sort of the bohemian looking ones that are not tight around the belly area and are silky. I wore it on Sunday and you couldn't see anything. Maybe the style may not be your favorite, but it worked!

its most likely the bloat unfortunately. i bloated like a bandit at first...but never really showed a true belly till 6 months.
since its spring..you can totally get away with tunics or flowy dresses for sure!

Loft has some nice loose fitting tops that came to my rescue last weekend. Not to flowy but not form fitting either.

If you figure out the secret, please let me know  I am visibly pregnant (yes, it's bloat but it makes me look like I'm four-five months pregnant like I was with my DD) and it's impossible to hide at this point. I do not want to reveal at work yet but I am getting looks left and right! If you find the magic outfit, please fill me in!

At a funeral, when I wanted to hide (because I hadn't told my family yet) I wore a dress that was belted at the waist but I wore spanx panty hose! It was actually a button down dress too! I have to admit, I couldn't stay in the panty hose all day but I did for about 4 hrs or so.
Other than that, I wore cardigans, ones that had a tie in front, so I could hide the belly or wore a pashmina or scarf to draw attention away from belly. This was about 9 to 12 weeks!
I officially can't hide it anymore!

Check out what I got! It looked so good, I got one in purple and teal, too. I normally wear all black, but honestly this hid me so well, I went nuts!!

oops except I didn't get the one with the lace.... the ruffles are plain white. It is cheap as hell and will probably get destroyed in one wash but hey- it works!
