IVF girls can someone explain the weeks to me?
So, I had my third beta today. They said I am going in two tuesdays for my sono and I will see the heartbeat. He said then I will be 7 weeks. This makes no sense to me because I had my transfer on April first and the sono is may first. Isn't that 4 weeks? Does it have to do with my frozen embryo?

You usually calculate from retrieval date. I guess you can take transfer date and subtract the # of days the frosty was 5/6 or whatever?

It was 5 with a blast. If that was the case it wouldn't make me 5 weeks this week which is what they were saying. If my transfer was May 1st.

i think they go from ur lmp..so on your transfer u r already 2 weeks pregnant or something like that

your due date is based on lmp but the gestational age of your embyro is based from date of retrieval. Its confusing because us IVF girls know exactly when conception occured but if you're not being monitored usually you cant exactly pinpoint when conception occurs so they always use lmp to calculate how far along you are.
