dr visit
I had my first full dr's visit this week. Some things (the important things, thankfully) went great. Other things were not quite so good.
Good news first: We had the first sonogram and saw the baby's heartbeat. It was amazing!!! The dr said everything looked normal and was progressing perffectly.
Bad news: I am definitely switching drs. The dr made me so angry! I don't know if any of you remember, but not that long ago I posted how I am barely 7 weeks along and yet none of my pants fit me. I was somewhat concerned about all the weight gain so early. After hearing from you girls I became even more concerned because it seemed this was abnormal. So I asked my dr (1) why was this happening to me and was it ok and (2) what should I do in terms of clothes and stuff because I can't buy new clothes every week. Her response was, "Well you're pregnant. You're going to put weight on during pregnancy. You're not going to be 'hot' throughout pregnancy."
I couldn't believe it. I almost got up and walked out immediately. Could she give a less professional, ruder, unhelpful answer!?!

Re: dr visit
Dont worry sweetie, I'm nine weeks and NOTHING fits, my pants don't button and my shirts roll up. I just feel like im expanding. And to confuse me even more, I even lost a pound from my last visit. I can't figure it out either. But you definetly are not alone. I am sorry she resopnded to you that way. Sometimes these doctors think we are supposed to know everything and not get worried. So Typical

Wanted to say congratulations to you!
That was a comment that was not necessary and unprofessional. Its important to find a doctor you like and trust and if she isn't the one - than I would begin my search for a new doctor!
Happy and healthy pregnancy!

Re: dr visit
Congratulations on your pregnancy! The most important thing to remember is that everyone is different when it comes to pregnancy- I've learned that with having three of my closest friends due within a month-month 1/2 of me. I plan on buying as many draw string pants as possible

Re: dr visit
Nothing fit me even at 7.5 weeks....it was all tight. IT might just be bloating more than weight gain...I'm still not sure I've gained anything, but I'm definitely more comfy in maternity clothes at 13 weeks now.
My best suggestion to you is find things now in a size up, with an elastic waist. If it's that dramatic of a weight gain definitely, go ahead and buy a few staples that you need for work and play.....a few pairs of black pants (no one will know you're wearing the same pants 2 or 3 times a week).
Check Ebay and the clearance racks in ALL stores, even Walmart and K-Mart. I saw a denim skirt in Kmart for $1.50 and I got my maternity shorts on Ebay for $5.50 plus shipping...they were $24 at JCPenney and I'm sure the seller got them on clearance! Check thrift stores for 2nd hand stuff in good shape and ask friends to borrow!!!
