How many times a day does your cat use the litter box?

We are having some major issues with my little guy. He is 3.

How many times a day does your cat go #1 and #2 on average?

I feel she does #2 at least 3 times a day

He pees 3-4 times a day and poops 1-2 times a day.

ETA: He is 6.

What kind of issues are you having? Our cat had problems some time ago with crystals in his urine. Taking the lid off his little box helped a lot because he kind of stood up straighter when peeing and emptied his bladder more. Could that help you?

I'm not 100% sure, but our guys poop about once a day and pee about 3-4 times per day. DH is in charge of box cleanup lol What types of problems is your cat having?

Our guy is constipated and we have been to the vet 3 times now for this issue. He isn't using his box because I think he associates it with the pain when he goes #2. He is 3 years old.

Recently, it seems he is also taking human sized #1's. sorry to be graphic but it seems he is only going #1 about 2x's per day, so it is a lot each time. I think he may be holding it in to avoid going to the box. He has peed outside his box multiple times too.

We have 2 boxes, no lids on either one.

For the constipation, we are increasing his stool softener to 3 x's per day and are slowing changing over to prescription food. This was per the vets instruction when we took him on Sunday.

This breaks my heart to know he is in pain.
