Car seats/travel systems for doubles....
Hi! I am so new to this and I have so many questions, but my main Q are:
1. Do I need separate infant car seats and then have to upgrade and get new baby car seats? Or do they make car seats that are good for infants and transition through their growth, where you can just remove padding and components, etc.?
2. Is there a site that reviews all strollers and car seats, cribs, etc? Like a CNet.com for baby products....

Yes, you'll need separate infant seats and then convertible seats (my boys switched around 8mo). Def register for both!
Go to BBB! The staff there are super helpful and can help you figure out which ones to get

You don't need both a convertible car seat could do it all, but as a multiple mom yea you need both The infant car seats are soooooo easy. I could not imagine strapping them in and out of the car seat every time I took them in and out of the car. and the double snap and go stroller is very necessary!

ITA with all of this!
Plust I found it easier to get them out of the house in the infant carrier versus carrying them to the car.
I used the infant carrier until the girls were almost 13 months old. And they hadn't even hit the height/weight requirement when I changed the the convertible car seat. I just couldn't carry them both anymore in the infant carrier.

I am due in December, and I don't forsee needing a snap-and-go necessarily for the first 3 months- am I wrong here?
What if I did the stroller (the one that can be later used as a stroller for babies and toddlers) that can accommodate the infant car seats, kind of like the Peg-Perego?
So instead of just an empty frame, if I need a "stroller" per se, I can just snap the infant seats into the stroller, and when they're big enough, eliminate the infant seats and use it as a stroller.... Am I making sense? 
I just can't see registering for a snap-n-go frame and throwing it out brand new/never using it.

Trust me, get the Snap and Go. IMO, it's a must have. People are always selling them on the FB buy sell group for like $20. You def will use it!!!!!

Trust us!!! you will want the snap and go. You will use it for dr apts. and when you start to loose you mind being cooped up all day and night and decide to take them places just to get out. I bought mine for 50$ on craigs list. They also have them at second hand shops. I hope to use the snap and go for as long as humanly possible!!! It is the only reason I'm excited my girls are so small. We can use the snap and go for so much longer. I use our bumbleride for walks. I also dont think there is a double that accepts 2 infant seats. My babies are 7 months old (5 months adjusted) my due date was November. They came home from the nicu in October. I have used the snap and go every time I have left the house via car with them.
Also in support again for infant car seats, I also have the swing frames for the infant car seats. the car seats just snap in and you now have a swing that does not take up 1/2 your living room. These frames have saves us and are sooooo portable. It is the only place our girls will nap.

ITA agree it is sooooo convenient! Buy one used. Totally worth it!!

Also in support again for infant car seats, I also have the swing frames for the infant car seats. the car seats just snap in and you now have a swing that does not take up 1/2 your living room. These frames have saves us and are sooooo portable. It is the only place our girls will nap.
What is the swing frames for infant car seats? I've never seen these but it sounds like such a smart invention! Do you know who makes yours? I want to look for this for sure! TIA

I altered the baby trend double snap and go's straps to fit my graco 35's. I just re mounted them to make them a little more secure and now the seats fit great!

I dont know. you can check their website. I went with graco because I like the print, the reviews in baby bargains and I loved the idea of the small swing frame. Little did I know the swing frame would become my best friend!!
