the best laid plans. . .
after that whole debate about when to go to the OB
I have brown spotting so they want me to come in on Monday to see whats going on (I will be exactly 6 weeks)
hopefully I can see the heartbeat then, if not I will keep my original appointment for the week after.
its nothing!

It could be many things. I had spotting before AF was due and at 7.5 weeks which turned out to be previa. Low progesterone can also cause it.

Try not to worry, there could be a lot of different reasons for spotting. Praying that all is well

I had brown spotting this last pregnancy from weeks 6 to 10. My little guy is now 3 months old. I will say a little prayer

Re: the best laid plans. . .
I had brown spotting with my ds who is now a spirited 4 year old. but I promise the spotting has nothing to do with his spirited personality lol I went for a scan with this baby at exactly 6w. I couldn't hear the heartbeat but we saw the flicker. Went back the following week just to confirm and it was beating away :) but 6w can go either way It may be a day or 2 too early. so please try to remain calm if you don't see the heartbeat

Re: the best laid plans. . .
good luck on Monday!
Brown spotting is usually not bad. My doctor told me not to even call her if i see brown spots. I had subchorionic hematoma (basically, blood gets stuck between the placenta and the uterus wall. the blood eventually comes out which is why you might bleed).

Good luck on Monday! Hope it's nothing!! I've had spotting episodes at least 3 times thus far this pregnancy, I am now 14 weeks....it is fairly normal, but alarming nonetheless.
