ProFlowers or 1800-Flowers?

I've had not so great experiences with 1800 Flowers, and usually a good one with ProFlowers. What experiences have you had?

Re: ProFlowers or 1800-Flowers?

I have received dead flowers from 1800flowers TWICE. I will never use them again.

I have seen co workers get flowers from Pro Flowers and they were always nice.

I never have luck with any of them. Now I go online and look up the name of a local florist and order directly from them.

HATE 1800Flowers. Their flowers NEVER last, and that's with following the care directions. I always use Teleflora or ProFlowers.

Definitely go with a local florist! Most of these companies send the order to local florists anyway and take a cut so when the local florist takes the order they make it based on how much they are recieving. You will get more for your money from a local florist. And its always great to support small businesses!!!!

Re: ProFlowers or 1800-Flowers?

I've gotten dead flowers from Proflowers and FTD has messed up delivery in my experience.

Never had a problem with 1800Flowers.

Re: ProFlowers or 1800-Flowers?

Proflowers always look dead or about to die. I feel their quality is like a supermarket. The few times I got 1800flowers they lasted for almost 2 weeks and were beautifully arranged. Sorry don't have experience with other brands.

Re: ProFlowers or 1800-Flowers?

ProFlowers 100%
The roses always come closed up tight- so they last for over a week.

I have had nothing but issues with 1-800 flowers.
Have had flowers die the next day more times than I can count.
Have had to call and track my own Valentine's Day order that they misdelivered.
Really ruined the romance on that one.

Horrendous customer service.

1800 Flowers always has bad reviews, they are the worst! I've used proflowers for my mom's flowers every year, and one time they were not great! She called, and they sent out new ones the next day.

Re: ProFlowers or 1800-Flowers?

I hate both and I really hate when flowers come in a box. I've ordered from both 1800flowers and Proflowers. Even with the coupon codes they are still more expensive then calling a local florist and the quality is hit or miss.

It's simple enough to just use google to find the florist in the town I am having them delivered to and then call them directly. It always ends up being cheaper and much better quality. I can tell them what I am looking for and how much I want to spend and they make it happen.

I think you probably get more for your money because FTD isn't taking a % out of the sale. Not to mention they don't charge a huge delivery fee because they are local.

Re: ProFlowers or 1800-Flowers?

DH has always used ProFlowers for me over the years and they have always been gorgeous. Only problem was this past Valentines Day. He had a bamboo heart sent to my job and it died within 2 weeks. It was soft and limping within 1 week. They were really helpful when we complained though - they offered all different options. I'm sure he'll continue to use them bc it was prob a one time thing and everything I received in the past was beautiful.

had more luck with proflowers....

Although now I can't stand the smell of most flowers so its not like I'll be receiving them soon.

eta- with my uncles funeral I went with the local florist that was recommended..... they lost my moms arrangement, and she sent it back after seeing what i looked like when it showed up over an hour late.
