Re: Games at baby shower?
Im doing 3 games with prizes... I think they are fun and it gets everyone involved especially interactive ones... And it breaks the ice at the party so everyone can laugh together and be friendly and just have some fun!

Re: Games at baby shower?
I'm not a fan. I have been to a ton of showers (bridal & baby) and at everyone remember ppl grumbling about not wanting to play games. I didnt have any at my bridal and wont at my baby. I do believe that you should have what YOU like. If you want games, go for it b/c there are some woman who dig it. In my particular group, I think they would rather mingle, and have some drinks. I am going to have a bib decorating station for those ladies that want to get a little creative.

Re: Games at baby shower?
We did decorate the onesie at my shower. It was great and DD wore them all!
We also played some games and did advice cards. I especially like present bingo because it gives people something to do during present-opening which can be super boring.
At my friend's shower, I ran baby family feud, which no one had seen before and was a huge hit! But there were only 20 people there. Works best with a small group like that.

Re: Games at baby shower?
What did you have to decorate them? Puffy paint? Or regular paint?

I was advised to use fabric paint / markers over puffy b/c it comes off in the wash. I plan on purchasing some stencils too for those, like me, who are less that artistically inclined.

Re: Games at baby shower?
I'm def usually anti-games, but at my shower a few weeks ago the games were def a hit.
We did the usual Bingo--- which all of the older crowd loves.
Then everyone had to cut ribbon to guess the size of my belly which people REALLY got into, much more than I thought!!!
Also, my sister created a calendar board so people could guess when the baby will be born and once the baby is here- she is going to send the "winner" a gift card.
Also--- my MIL set up advice cards and at first, I didn't really care either way whether we had them but now I am SO happy that we had the advice cards. They were SO great to read when we got home... some were seriously great advice, others were just to make us laugh. They are going to be a nice keepsake.
My SIL's shower a couple of years ago, we did one of the diaper games where we melted different kinds of chocolate into diapers and then passed the diapers around so people could guess which kind of chocolate was in each diaper. It's not really my thing, but it made a lot of people laugh and it was cute.

ITA i never bother to participate. Did not have games at my bridal shower and probably won't for my baby shower.

Re: Games at baby shower?
I really don't like shower games at all. I didn't plan my bridal or baby shower but there were games, I actually felt bad bc I wouldn't have done that lol. I do like the option of a onesie or bib decorating though. Thats cute.

Re: Games at baby shower?
Just do bingo to keep guests entertained. Or set a timer and every time it goes off, whoever's gift is being opened gets a prize.
