Lost my grandpa to Alzheimer's

My grandpa passed away in Jan. He lived a long life (91yrs) that was wonderful. However he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's many years ago. I feel like we were cheated out of many years of memories with him. Because of his ailling health he was not able to be at my wedding in November (my family all lives in IL). I thought knowing that his time was coming to an end would make it easier but I'm still really struggling. I catch myself crying all the time and I can't stop. being around him was difficult at times cause he couldn't remember my name or the wonderful memories we had together. My grandpa LOVED the little ones and babies. Even when he was in the hospital and not in great spirits his face would light up when our little cousins entered the room. I am really struggling knowing that I will never get the opportunity to have my child (fingers crossed we are able to have kids) meet my grandpa. I miss him so much and think about him all the time.
