BDay Party at 10 am?

Would you take your DC to a bday party at 10 am on Sunday? DS wants to have his bday at LICM and the kind of party he wants is only available before the museum opens. Would it be a bad time as it is sunday and church time? We are not christian-so I am not sure if it is a no-no. Most of his school friends are christian but I don't know their parents well enough to ask them directly, KWIM?
Thanks

Yes, have done it for DDs and have been to parties at this time/day. I agree it's a odd time, but the places that work out to have them at can be limited about their times.

I would not go to a party at that time. We go to church during that time on Sundays.

There is absolutely no time during the week when everyone can make it. Church, Temple, family obligations, other activities, work schedules, etc.
Personally, I would love a 10am event on Sunday.

Yes I would go, and have before. We would either go to a Saturday night mass or earlier mass or split up.

Even if I was a church-goer I would take DD to her friend's party on a Sunday morning.

I don't think the powers that be would smite you for missing one day of church to celebrate a birthdayChat Icon

Thank you for your opinions! Hoping that DS's friends won't find it too inconvenient to make it to the party.

Yes. Most of my friends loved early parties. They were up already with the kids & it leaves the rest of their day free.

Sat, yes. Sun, no. Our religious services are only at 10:30 am on Sundays.

I am a regular churchgoer, but I would definitely go to the party. I would simply attend a different Mass that week.

I do have friends who insist on going only to the Family Mass though, so they would probably not go if the party conflicted with that Mass.

I think it's fine! Most churches offer more than one service, and often on Sat evening as well.

Re: BDay Party at 10 am?

We went to a party a few weeks ago on Sunday at 9:30 am.

We go to church pretty regularly, however there are other times that can be attended. I would rather the party early than right in the middle of the day.

Yes...our party is at 10am too on a Sunday (Nunley's Carousel).

I am an early bird and so are my kids...I would love having the rest of the day free!

Thanks, everyone. I booked the party for 10am. Now hoping at least a reasonable no of friends show up!
