M.D. vs D.O?
What's the difference between and MD and a DO? Which are you using and why?

Re: M.D. vs D.O?
An MD is a medical doctor; a DO is a Doctor of Osteopathy. DOs typically take a more holistic approach (but that doesn't mean they're happy hippies handing out tree bark. They're just trained to treat the whole person).
I'm not using either one; I go to a CNM (certified nurse midwife).

My ob office has one MD and one DO. I think they are both great and I'm equally comfortable with both.

The office I go to is a DO, never knew what the hell it was either, to me they are just like a regular doctors office, much nicer though
Eta this I my regular practice, not my OB
