How much do I give?
Dh and I are invited to a post destination wedding celebration .... Couple got married in Mexico and are not having a BBQ type party at a fire house in jersey.... They came to our wedding at a hall last year ... Do I give what they gave us or can I give less since it is not a "real" wedding?

Oh no what did I do?
I meant that I missed the real wedding .... I have done two destination weddings and they were lovely ... Bermuda and cancun ... But at those weddings we did not give nearly as much as we would have if the wedding had been local ...

Omg all you people are so annoying. I totally understand what the girl is asking. It's all of YOU people who make this into drama!!!!
I would just give what you think based on your relationship with the couple and something you can afford. I usually try to be generous so in this type of situation I wouldn't give less that $100
When invited to destination weddings and we can't attend (and no party when they get back) I usually mail a $100 ck

You give what you would give to a couple who got married. You are celebrating their marriage - not going "tit for tat" on whose wedding was a real wedding and whose wasn't...or who spent more, etc.

Give what you can afford to give.
Unless you were at the destination wedding and gave a gift there, then I'd give nothing.
If you're asking if you can give less because it's not a hall based wedding? I honestly think the only one who can answer that is you. If you feel you think it's fine to give less, give less. If you don't, then give what you would normally give at a wedding.
