10 dpo (took clomid) and got a VERY dark line right away on my test. took a digital and it popped up pregnant right away. could that be twins?

sorry to crash- you really can't go based on the hpt for twins. I had triplets and my line was VERY light at 11dpo (it's in my album). The sticks are no diagnostic. Good luck though!

Mine wasn't super dark at 12dpo. My beta at 13dpo was only 79, but still TWINS! (nearly trippled 2 days later if that means anything). You never know.

First of all, congrats!!! second of all the darkness of the lines can't determine twins. Though they may indicate higher levels of HcG but that could be because you implanted early. Even beta's aren't a foolproof way of knowing. Only way to know for sure is at your first sono. GOOD LUCK!

Re: did any of you have VERY dark lines on your HPT early on?
At 13 DPO my line was not very dark at all. It was there but i wasn't getting my hopes up of being PG until i had my bloodwork from my RE the next day because it was so light. I found out the next day I was PG and weeks later it was twins. With this pregnancy, I guess about 14 DPO, im not really sure since it was a surprise, the line came up right away and pretty dark. I'm only carrying one. So i wouldn't really go by the HPT. Congratulations!!!!

Re: did any of you have VERY dark lines on your HPT early on?
First of all - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I agree with PP - a dark line isn't really any indication of multiples. I found out I was pregnant pretty early on (5 days before AF was expected). I used digitals only and the word pregnant appeared quickly. But I went for a sono at 5 weeks, they only saw 1 sac. They ran bloodwork to test my HCG levels. I went back at 6 weeks for another sono. There was no HB and based off of my high HCG levels they told me it was a non viable pregnancy. I went in for a D&C at 7 weeks and they did a sono first to make sure there was no change. And they found a healthy heartbeat.....times 2! So it wasn't until after 7 weeks I found out I was having twins.

Re: did any of you have VERY dark lines on your HPT early on?
I did a ton of those "test 5 days before your missed period" pregnancy tests and every one of them was negative. I just knew I was pregnant though and kept taking them. I finally got a positive test result when I was a day late. . . twins run in my family and my sister joked that maybe I was having twins. I actually said that I would think that with twins I would have gotten a darker line - or at least an earlier positive outcome.
At 6 weeks, the doctor saw two sacks. I nearly fell off the table, I was in such shock.

The only official way to confirm twins is by a sono. YOu may also be able to tell by your hormone levels. WHen you get the confirmation ask for your HCG level. My first # was 208.

Congrats!
Mine wasn't very very dark. I'm not sure if that's an indication of anything.

Re: did any of you have VERY dark lines on your HPT early on?
My line was def darker and came up much quicker with this twin pregnancy then with my DS. I immediately thought it might be twins. But as others have stated its not always an indication.
