Constipation in 5 year old...
Megan has been constipated for a few days now. I know it's not the lovliest of topics but I'm getting nervous now. She wont drink prune juice..I have been giving her fruits and fiber...nothing is working.
Does anyone know what else I can do? Give her? I want to try to stay away from any sort of laxative. Ideas? Thanks.

How about just plain prunes? If you drink a lot of juice it can have the same effect. Otherwise - lots of water. Under ripe bananas can give you looser stool.

I was just coming on to post the same comment. Also do not give her rice as it is very binding. If she won't eat prunes, then try plums as that's what a prune is before dehydration. Good luck.
