Re: How do you deal with lazy co workers
Do the work that you can, and then present it to your supervisor on the day it is due.
If there are any issues, then just let the supervisor know in a professional way that you have been asking for assistance but did not receive. Maybe keep an email record?
Playing Devil's Advocate though, WHOSE responsibility is it to actually train and supervise you?
I have been put in this position multiple times at work because of the supervisor's lack of time to provide supervision to their staff, to the point where certain new people are taking time away from MY work because they are not comfortable doing things on their own.
We do finally have a supervisor now and things are 100% better but it makes for a very uncomfortable environment on BOTH sides.
When I was dealing with this stuff, there were times when I would not drop what I was doing for the umpteenth time because I wanted to the supervisor to see that he needed to hire someone for this role.
I am 100% sure this is why someone quit awhile ago.
