We are looking to move to one of those areas. Could someone tell me more about the areas. The good, bad and ugly.
Thanks

Re: ? Holbrook/ Holtsville area
Good schools, a lot of smaller parks, a few bigger parks. Close to the Ecology site - lots of fun/free.
Central location - Sunrise/LIE
what else do you want to know?

If I could afford it - Sayville. Nice, small schools, quaint down town. A lot of activities by the town.

Re: ? Holbrook/ Holtsville area
I currently live in Holbrook and have been extremely happy. The proximity to.the LIE, Vet's Hwy and Sunrise are wonderful. The schools are good and the neighborhood does have a community feel. They are constantly hosting events, which are great and usually free. The restaurants are good, too. Especially Joe's Pizza. Dh and I can't eat italian out anywhere else.

I agree!
I live near Main street and love that area. There are a few houses in the neighborhood for sale if you are interested.

Ditto with the above about Holbrook. Everyday I am so grateful we moved here. We live in Parkland and everyone here is friendly and look out for each other.
In parkland I love that we have sewers and underground electric. Yeah, I notice things like that.

I grew up in Ronkonkoma and I'm very familiar with Holbrook. I had a friend that lived on Ballard.
Nice neighborhood!

Yes, there is a nice park at the school down the street. You would be close to the junior high.

Nice area! I personally think the nicer developments are New England Village, Parkland and Somerset.

Also couldn't be happier in Holbrook. We moved from Islip 8 months ago. I am off Coats Ave in between Broadway and Lincoln. I love it over here. I love my neighborhood. It's nice and quiet.

Re: ? Holbrook/ Holtsville area
We just moved to Holbrook in December and we love it! Im on a court right off of Broadway so Im close to both Sunrise and the LIE. Plenty of shopping and food places all around and I love that we are in the Sachem district (we were in Sachem too at our first house and I wanted to make sure we stayed in it when we moved.)

I live in Holbrook too and love it. I'm right off the LIE and love how convenient it is. Patch/Holb Road makes it so easy to head south to Patchogue and Sayville too. Ronkonkoma train station is right here so getting into the city isn't a hassle.
School's are good and the town is a real coomunity. Joe's Pizza is the best, Lombardi's Market has great food and Main Street has a little bit of everything (except a dollar store - would love to have one back).
There's a house for sale across the street from me and another around the block.
Definately check the area out.
