Does your cat hump stuff?
As you all may know I do not have a regular cat. He's a totally different breed.
I caught my cat trying to hump my knit hat last night. I know its a kind of thing male dogs do to their beds and toys but I thought it was weird that my cat was doing it.
He was fixed at 5 months old so I'm a little confused. He is my first cat so is this normal behavior? He's 2 now.

My female puppy did this a few times to some of her toys...I think it is a form of displaying dominance. If it's occasional I wouldn't worry about it!

YES. We had a cat that only humped certain things. (like a dust mop that was really fuzzy and my stuffed scooby doo). He was also fixed! If you tried to take it away from him he would get so mad and grab it and would not let go until he was done.

I never knew how weird cats were. I was able to take it from him and hide it. He was searching around for it though. Crazy cat

We have two and only one humps and they are both fixed. The one that humps only does it to crocheted blankets and he usually starts doing it after he's needed (kneeded? however you spell it) the blanket a few times. weirdo! lol

My cat tries to hump me and DH. He has been neutered since we got him at 6 months and just started the humping when he turned about 3 yrs old.
so annoying, we just push him off.
He will do it to a wool blanket we have to.

My cat does it to a blanket when he kneeds. Its gross. The strange thing is he is fixed and has never done it up until this year.
