Re: 2 under 2 - HELP!

I have three LOs and they're all within four years (3mos, 2.5yrs, and 4yrs). It's GREAT. Yes, there's a lot of crying but the older two are best buddies and instant playmates and they're both in love with the baby. Congrats!!!

Re: 2 under 2 - HELP!

My 4 and 5 year olds are only 14 months apart. I honestly never found it hard. From day one it was perfect. They are best of friends. I wouldn't change their age difference if I could. I love watching them grow and Learn togetherChat Icon

Congratulations!! You will love it!

Re: 2 under 2 - HELP!

I know lots of people had it easy in the beginning but honestly, for me it was hard. DS was 18 months when DD was born, so he was still a baby, and DD was a very needy newborn.

However, once she was a few months old it got much easier and she ADORES her big brother - and he adores her. They never want to be apart and play together all the time. It's been wonderful so far Chat Icon Sure they have trouble sharing but that's pretty much the only thing they fight about. I would not change having 2 under 2 for anything!

Re: 2 under 2 - HELP!

Just an example...#1 and #2 are 17 months apart

#2 and #3 are 2 1/2 yrs apart

#3 and #4 will be 15 months apartChat Icon

I liked having them closer together sooooo much better! Everything is hard at times, but you just go with the flowChat Icon

My 2 oldest are the best of friends...and they absolutely adore their little brother. Having #4 so close to number 3 will allow him to have the awesome relationship his older brothers have!

Re: 2 under 2 - HELP!

It's not nearly as hard as I thought it would be- then again, my 2nd DD (now 6m) is an angel Chat Icon

My 2yr old is another story Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: My older DD LOVES her baby sister. There's very rarely any jealousy! She's great with her. The issues are more along the common terrible 2's lines. Tantrums, potty accidents, whining, etc.

Oh! And-- Congratulations!!!

Re: 2 under 2 - HELP!

My DCs are 22 months apart. I was terrified when I first found out I was pregnant and felt guilty for taking attention away from DS but honestly it's been going better than I could have ever imagined! DS LOOOVES his baby sister so much. DD has been a very easy baby...STTN as soon as we brought her home, laid back, etc. so that definitely helps. DOn't get me wrong, it's very tiring taking care of two kids but I wouldn't change a thing. In fact, DH and I are pretty much in agreement that there will be a #3 in our (not so near) future Chat Icon

ETA: Congrats!!!!
