Re: Slate publishes a series of child free blogs/articles this week
Interesting. I don't get either side in the "war" depicted in several of the Slate articles. There are people who say their lives are given meaning by religion. There are people who claim that they would never want a pet, and those who say that they couldn't live without one. We all seem to get along. There are workaholics. There are hobbyists. All kinds of life decisions to have your time and resources taken up--or not taken up--by something. It's all good.
So why would people wothout kids be so angered by people whose kids make them feel like life has new meaning? Why would people with kids feel anything less than respect for the choice of those who say "no thanks?" This whole issue has me baffled. I feel sorry for anyone who makes uninformed choices and isn't wholly happy wth her choices. We only live once.
