Know of any OBs who automatically put you out on disability @ 24-28 weeks (assoc w/Winthrop)
Can anyone recommend good OBs for twins who do this & deliver at Winthrop?
Or if not, then LIJ or North Shore.

Is there a reason why you need to go out at 24-28 weeks? I don't think most drs would put you out of work unless you were having a complication.

My dr. told me in the beginning of my pregnancy that he would have me stop work at 24 weeks whether there was issues or not. Sorry OP, Im in Suffolk so my dr. wouldnt be of any help to you.

I go to University Plaza OBGYN and Dr. Rosenberg told me when I was pg with my twins that he would slow me down significantly by 20 weeks. I of course didn't listen but he kept talking about it every time I saw him. He probably woul have put me out at 28 weeks if I wasn't already on bed rest. They deliver at Winthrop.

My OB delivers at Winthrop and he was on board for me going out of work about 26-28 weeks. I only worked part time, but was on my feet a lot. I am sure for a full time job he would do the same.

I was put out at 16 weeks but because I was a mail carrier & the heat was too much for me. My feet were swelling up.
I don't think the Dr will put you up unless there is a reason but If you want the Dr name inbox me.

My OB is Dr. John Gomes in garden city. He is an amazing and very thorough doctor. He delivers at Winthrop. His staff is so wonderful and alway on top of everything. I saw him every two weeks and had a sono almost every time I went. His sono tech is wonderful! I had a great pregnancy with no complications.....so I didn't go out of work early.

I saw a doctor in Suffolk. I tolmy dr. I wanted to work until 30 weeks and he said no way 28 weeks the most he would let me. I actually stopped at 27 due to really bad carpal tunnel. I commute from Middle ISland to Manhattan though.
I am sure most doctors would write a note.

I saw them initially (had to switch to a high risk) - I was told no more work after 28 weeks. I forget which doctor I saw but his last name started with a C. Sorry for mommy brain lol

Mine wants me out at 24 weeks-he delivers at LIJ. Im fighting to stay and making all kinds of scheduling changes to accomodate it but he wants me out, complications or none.
He says "everything is fine until its not so don't take any chances" everytime I go for a visit.
