has anyone ever heard of dr. capizzi in west islip
my aunt will be seeing him for something they found in her breast
any info on this dr. would be appreciated.
also, can anyone recommend any other great breast surgeons? TIA
please say some prayers

Many, many years ago (17 yrs to be exact), I was a file girl in his office as a side job. What I knew of him then and what I know as recently as a few yrs ago is that he is a wonderful doctor. I dont think your Aunt can go wrong w/him. I personally found his "bed side manner" not to be of my liking but I wasnt a patient of his. If your Aunt meets him and isn't happy, there are a ton of other qualified breast dr's on the island.
And tons of for her.

Is it Anthony Capizzi?
If so, I used his practice but another Dr
to remove my gallbladder.
I didn't have much choice in the matter-I was in the ER at Good Sam with a gallstone attack
I needed a surgeon and he was on call. The nurses and PA in the ER all told me how great Dr Capizzi was.
However he wasn't free to see me right then, so his associate Dr Lee came up. He then performed my surgery the next day.
He was great. Everything went perfect.
When I got the insurance statement they listed Dr Capizzi as an assisting surgeon that day- but I wouldn't kow as I was unconsious in the OR and never saw him...
From what I have heard in the hospital though, Dr Capizzi is excellent.

Dr. DeRisi saved my mother's life, he is next to G-d in my family. I go to him for yearly checkups due to family hx. His bedside manner is great, there is always a long wait but thats because he is the BEST and he's worth waiting for.

I actually used a Surgeon in Huntington Medical Group to remove my lump.
ironically he is married to the woman who was our pediatrican! LOL Dr. Siddiqui.

Sorry, I thought you were looking for a recommendation. I have never heard of Dr. Capizzi, but I recommend the below doctor. She operated on me and she is an angel!
