can someone help me with NYS unemployment questions
Last day of work is tomorrow so when do I apply and when does it kick in or when would I be paid. I can't seem to find this information which seems very odd to me?

my last day at work is tomorrow also. i am going to apply on Sunday. It think once you apply they will let you know when you are eligible

We were told you have to wait until Monday to apply - not sure why. And you have to recertify your benefits every week.
ETA: I believe there is a one week waiting period before the benefits kick in.

you can apply monday through friday
you won't get your first payment until i believe 2 weeks, but they will pay you back for the weeks that were late.
you need to claim benefits weekly (you can do it online, really simple to do)
you can also check your payment status online
