I did it in 2010. I highly recommend. It's a loop, so net elevation is the same, but honestly there aren't too many hills at all (most in the beginning)
There are a lot of half marathoners, but they split off at 1-1.5 miles which was good.
I loved that you ran from downtown and into country (like horse crossing signs). there was one point where there was 6 or so miles to go and I was thinking I can't believe I'm a 5 minute drive to downtown.
The people are really nice (tons of people cheering - barely ever without someone there - until you start coming back into the downtown area with 1-2 miles to go), it is well organized too.

Thanks for the great review Erika. I was actually worried about the crowds because it is a smaller marathon. I need the crowd support.
