Nanny for twins
I'm looking for a nanny to watch my 4 month old twin boys 4 days a week. Does anyone know of a nanny they would recommend for twins in Nassau or have a suggestion about how to find a good nanny. I'm also wondering what the hourly/weekly rate is for a nanny.
Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Nanny for twins
I have a friend whose Mom is a nanny and happens to be looking for work now, like I heard this today. Her other daughter has twins so that may work out for you. I can get details. I do know she is in Nassau.
Please FM me if you're interested.

Re: Nanny for twins
I recently hired a part time nanny and I pay her 13 per hour + travel gas. she is with my twins 30 hours a week and she is great with them. I was on sittercity and care and didn't found a few people that could have worked out but our hours clashed. I still have an active account on Sittercity if you want me to post something for you and then I can forward you all the emails.

Nanny for twins
My twins are 8 months & live in East meadow. If anyone needs a babysitter for 2yrs old & up...I would be looking to watch 1 or 2 days a week.

Re: Nanny for twins
I am a former nanny for twin boys (they were 4 months when I started), and an infant teacher for a daycare.
I had a profile on sittercity.com and listed that I was experienced in caring for multiple infants at one time, and my former employer sent me a message to meet up. We did a trial run one Saturday while she was home, so we could feel each other out and see how I interacted with the boys.
I definitely recommend putting ads out on either sittercity or care.com and looking for candidates who have a daycare background. Personally for me, I was already CPR trained, and trained in administering medicine (MAT certified). Those are things that parent's loved to see and every single daycare professional should knows them as well.
Good Luck in your search
eta- I was paid $500 a week, 40 hours per week for the first year, and $530 a week the second year.
