Dr. McManus in Valleystream/Long Beach
Have you or do you know anyone who has used Dr. McManus to deliver their children? Does he work only out of Mercy or other hospitals as well? Any info would be greatly apprecaited.

I had a consult with him during my last pregnancy and decided not to go with him. He's nice, and great sense of humor but he did explain that he prefers to deliver out of Mercy. I had an awful experience with my first dd in Mercy's postpartum. He also delivers at South Nassau, but prefers Mercy since he is the head of OB/GYN there.

Dr. McManus in Valleystream/Long Beach
I delivered both of my kids with him at mercy- it is not the snazziest of hospitals but it does have a level 3 NICU and to be honest, giving birth vaginally you are there for such a short period of time it was not an issue for me.
I have known Dr. McManus for a long time and he is a SMART man and a great doctor -highly recommend him. Also nice b/c he delivers all his patients unless he is away so you don't have to worry about having a stranger deliver your baby like you do with big practices.
