Recommend a great party place...
Recommend a great party place for both girls/boys. Looking for a fresh idea for my boy/girl twins joint 6th birthday party. Nothing too girly or too boyish. I think they are over the MyGym, White Post, have had enough bowling parties, etc. Was looking into the movies but nothing good is out around their bday. Anyone have experience w/ little chefs? Or anything else?

Little Chefs is fun also Fun Craft they have a pottery room and a dance room and different options for party packages. Progressive gymnastics has spins on your typical gym parties. Also queens zoo and the queens county farm museum, unlimited sports action or other places like that...All great and fun parties!

Re: Recommend a great party place...
pump it up is in plainview - so perfect for that age. it's a tad more on the expensive side, but they do have "last minute" deals (a month or two away) that works out. We have been and had quite a few parties there and we have never had a bad time...
We just had laser tag at laser kingdom. The kids LOVED it (boys AND girls equally). Parents play for free too. My only complaint was that the girls that were in the arena were texting the entire time. I hate that I gave a tip, but the party room host really worked hard.

Re: Recommend a great party place...
Would you consider a karate party? Chris Gates Karate (Greenlawn) has unlimited kids for one price & I recall it was pretty inexpensive too.
We had Mad's party here: http://www.jfabparties.com/ & you can pick your own theme. We did a diva/spa thing but we've been there for a pirate/pricess party.
Plastercraft was ok too (Commack). Not sure if they're too young for that.
LaserTag starts at 5 yo & up.http://www.laserkingdoms.com/presenter/portal/page.aspx?key=parties. The only downside is the partyroom is VERY small.
Adventureland, Pump It Up, swimming parties, sewing party, craft parties, ice cream shop parties, we've been to them all. My favorite parties are the ones that exhaust my kids rather than sugar them up.

Re: Recommend a great party place...
We had DS's 5th Bday party there in June and the kids loved it (ages 4-7).
We just booked Bounce U for DD's 6th Bday (end of August).
My son went to a Bday party at Michael's (in massapequa) and had a nice time making a holiday craft.
