5-6 month old toy recommendations
Looking to get my 5 month old DD some new toys... Does/did your child have any favorites around that age? If so... Please let me know! Thanks!!

i went crazy at buybuy baby and bought all the lamaze little animal guys- jacque the peacock was my favorite LOL such a stud
i liked all those toys because theyre so bright and happy looking.... little guys favorite was the inchworm.
he would talk to inchworm every night... tell him his problems LOL BFF

5-6 month old toy recommendations
DS loved at 6 months and still does at 12 months the fisher price stacking ring toy. It is a classic toy and I got it for less than $10. Definitely one of his favorites. Also a small ball. I got a set of 3 sensory balls (one crinkles, one is bumpy, and one rattles) and an oball all of which he still plays with. He also started using the exersaucer at 5 months and stopped at 10 months.

I was so not into the exersaucer.. it say unopened in my garage for months .. I finally gave in to it and DD LOVED it-- she still loves it at 7 months and probably will for a while. She also really is into her laugh and play puppy by fisher price and she absolutely adores the plastic beach ball that we got for her.. she loves that thing and it only cost 99 cents.. I think she likes the colors.

I second Jack the Peacock. DS also loves Infantino's Tackle the Touchdown Mouse. We don't leave the house wo one of the two.
Loves his rubber blocks too, and they are great bc he can gum them.

A few that my DD has been playing with the last few months and that she plays with every day are the Laugh n' Learn Puppy, Lamaze soft sorter and Fisher Price Musical Lights stacker (although she only takes the stars off and hasn't figured out how to put them back on ).

I second the laugh n learn puppy. DD is 7.5 months now, we got it for her at 4 months she loved it then and loves it now. Also, o balls and the fabric books that make the crinkle sound.

dd is 5mo and i just bought a bunch of toys there other day at bbb. i got her a few suction toys for her hychair, some board books, lamaze toys, and a fisher price 'smart phone' since she loves controllers and phones (this is prob her fav!)

DS loves whatever exersaucer he can get his hands on! We have two (the Piano Entertainer and a crazy, jumpy one... I forget the name of it). My parents have the "Around we Go" one - and he LOVES it! He's now 11 months and bordering the "weight limit", but I can't bear taking them away from him!
He LOVED (and still loves) balloons at that age. I mean... laughed HYSTERICALLY at the Valentine's Day balloons we had when he was 6 months old. Buy her a helium balloon (if you can FIND a place that still has helium) and she'll LOVE it!
All the money we've spent on toys, and the "freebies" were and still are favorites! No joke... my son's FAVORITE toy (then and now) is this little flat school bus thing with sliding windows I got as an "under 3" toy in a McDonald's Happy Meal. lol. It occupies him for any car ride. He also loves this little, rubber, squeaky octopus that the doctor gave him. He loves his plastic key ring, too. (but he loves mommy's keys more!).
He liked and has now grown to LOVE the Ball Popper Elephant.
He likes the Learn and Play Home, too.
Ya know what's great, too? This cloth photo album I found on Amazon. The brand is "Little Genius" - or something like that. I just filled it with pictures of friends and family and he stares at it, flips the pages, points people out now... It's GREAT!

DD is almost 6 months old and loves her exersaucer. She also really loves the Taggies stuffed frog and elephant, as well as the Lamaze Captain Calamari. They were DS's favorites too:

Got DD the Laugh n Learn Dance n Play Puppy today and she LOVES it!! She was having a blast with it.. Put the biggest smile on her face and mine too! :)
