Plateaus and overcoming them
I have always had a problem with plateauing. Usually when I get within 10 lbs of goal my weight loss comes to a halt. This time is no exception. I haven't lose an ounce in days, gained about 6 ounces today. I was thinking we could go over some plateau busters, things that have worked for you or others.
So far I've read about- Alternating between 1600 and 1200 cal days One cheat meal a week Fasting for a day Not exercising for a couple days Not dieting/exercising for a week Changing your exercise routine Switching up what you eat

Really? I feel so weird thinking about cheating. What is it about the higher calories that jumpstarts it? And would a slice of pizza tonight work, lol

yup a slice of pizza is fine! Don't make it a pie though!
The increase in carbs (and calories) causes your metabolism to spike. You will see an increase on the scale within the next day or so but it will go away as the extra glycogen goes away and the carbs are processed. With that decrease you should see an overall decrease in scale weight as well!
