1st Sono Today *UPDATE
I am 6w4d today and just go back from Disney last night. My sono was originally scheduled for Friday, but my RE asked me to come in today instead because she has a family event tomorrow. So at 4:00 today I'll know if it's  or and I am  for a nice healthy heartbeat(s). I am so worried because this is around the same time I was last time I m/c and we did have a heartbeat but it was low. It seems like each "milestone" is more like a hurdle but I am trying to stay positive that this will be it.
So I am measuring 6w2d and there is a fetal pole, sac, and the embryo but no heart beat yet. I know it's early but the doctor I saw, not my usual RE, said that he would have liked to have seen a heat beat and that more than 1/2 of all embryos at this stage show a heart beat. He had me schedule another sono for next Friday and said if nothing on that visit that then it wouldn't be good news.  Please tell me it's too early.

i would go sooner then next friday if you can. if you are measuring 6w2d by 7w there should be a heartbeat if theres going to be!!!

I think it's too early....the earliest I have personally seen the heartbeat is 6w4d. Bdont give up hope!!

Don't get discouraged! I had my first done at 6 weeks 4 days and didn't see a heart beat. I went back 3 days later and it was there. Don't give up hope!

def can be early! a diff of a few days can make such a diff!
i actually do not like that they told u that!
it is impossible to say don't worry so i will just say hold on and prayers and hugs for next appt

Try not to worry too much!! I had a sono at 6w2d and there was no hb either. I was so worried but my doctor wasn't. I went back the next week and there was a nice, strong hb.

Okay so I was just in your position... everyone told me it could work out...etc...etc... but having gone through a similar situation which turned into a miscarriage, I strongly did not believe them. Lo and behold this past Tuesday at exactly 7 weeks, we saw a heartbeat! Just one week before all we had seen was the beginning of a fetal pole and yolk sac. So truly don't lose hope! Do you have any pregnancy symptoms? Like do you still feel pregnant?

Please don't give up hope yet, could be a late implanter too...wait it out, and I will pray you get a heartbeat at your next appointment
Its so hard in the early stages, especially with previous loss experience.

Your situation has given me hope and I am staying positive and thinking maybe it is just to early. My preggo symptoms have been pretty much the same except the past two nights I'm up to use the bathroom 4x's a night and usually it's once maybe twice. The soreness and tenderness in my boobs comes and goes depending on the day. this little one shows a heart beat next Friday!!

During my last pregnancy I had a sonogram at 6 weeks and saw a flickering of a heartbeat, but the tech said it was too early and did not. 2 weeks later I saw the same flicker and was able to monitor it. I definitely think its too early just from my previous experience, and that is why if you were not IVF a regular ob wouldn't see you for your first appointment until you are 8 weeks.

I'd say that either
A. it is too early- (7 weeks+ should be a HB in the 6th week I feel like its 50/50.)
B. You didn't have the best of the sono techs.
:) Stay positive...having another sono in a few days can make a HUGE difference....Ill keep you in my prayers...

You know we get pulled through an extra roller coaster because we are toying with early results where 48 hours can make a difference. I will be praying for you that everything works out!

it could be that it is just too soon! i would make sure that your next apppointment is with your OBGYN and not this Dr. because no one should have the insensitivity to tell you something like that.
We didn't hear LO HB until after 7w
