is DR pacifying me?

i really didnt want a D&C, so petrified of procedures, no matter how "minor"

i waited about 2 weeks hopinig i would pass it myself, and have not. i asked about the pill to help and she said their office doesnt due it to possible Hemorrhage stuff.

went to dr yesterday where she said we should schedule D&C for friday since no change. we talked for awhile, she listened to my concerns about everything. i left with a scheduled D&C for friday AND cytocec. (sp?) she said she would give it to me if i took it thurs night/fri morning so worst case i was scheduled anyway.

1) are 2 pills, then anopther 2 pills the normal dose?
2) if she wants me to take them thurs night and middle AM friday, is this enough time for it to even work?

i feel like she is giving me them to ease my mind since i wanted to do eberything other than a D&C but i dont mean that meanly.... she was an absolute doll to talk with and made me as at ease as I can beso maybe im just being a nut job?

is it worth even trying the pills with such a short window for them to work? or is it possible it kicks and i can avoid the procedure?

oh, one last thing, does the pill have side effects? other than what its meant to do?

Im not aware of any side effects. Yes that is the proper dosage. Ive never heard of any hemmoraging from Cytotec. Its pretty common for people that do not want to go through a D&C. It sounds like shes really pushing for a D&C and for not really a reason that makes sense.

My Dr. was the opposite. She pretty much refused a D&C due to side effects and pushed the pill on me. After taking the doses, nothing happened. I had to get a script for more pills. Still nothing happened. She ended up giving me t he D&C a week after. good luck to you, I hope that everything works out!

I took this last week & it did what it was supposed to. Side effects include nausea and/or diarrhea are common but doesn't happen to everyone the cramping is pretty intense so definitely take pain medication prior to and about 4 hours after taking cytotec it's necessary. hope this works for you

I took the cytotec and my symptoms were a little nausea. The first dose i felt like did nothing. The second dose I kinda felt the same then all of a sudden my body decided to do what it needed to. It took over 12 hours for it to work on me, and honestly, those 12 hours felt like forever to me. Good luck and hoping you can avoid the d & C . if you need anything feel free to FM me.
