After school pick up/baby sitting in Long Beach????
DS is heading into 1st grade and I am looking for someone in the long beach area who can pick him up and keep him for just a few hours after school. Does anyone know of anybody or any site where I can find a sitter?

I would start there. Many are unemployed teachers. If they have their teaching certification (in the last 10 years) they have been fingerprinted and the state has performed a background check on them.

After school pick up/baby sitting in Long Beach????
Long Beach has a great after care program at several of the schools, run by LB youth and family services. My DS is in it. Goes until 6pm. Super convenient for me.
