Thermos for hot food
I have seen a bunch of posts about using a thermos to send in hot food for school lunch-cab anyone recommend a great thermos and where you got it from?

This is the one we have also. It fits a single serve macaroni and cheese packet in here, or like 6 chicken nuggets.

We have the Funtainer, but I don't recommend it for meats that are supposed to stay hot, like chicken nuggets. I *thought* it was keeping them hot for months, but it wasn't. I picked my child up sick from school before lunch one day, opened up the Funtainer and they were barely warm. Maybe ours is defective, or just getting too old.

I have these too. Don't use them often because the kids say the chicken nuggets get soggy because of the condensation that happens in the closed container (even when I do or don't wrap them in foil as well). I do use them to send in soup or pasta though. I don't think it's defective on your part. Just not meant for things like nuggets!

Oh good, glad it's not just ours! They were soggy too. Of course I had been sending them in at least once a week, and he didn't say a word about them!

This is a great thread! I was thinking mac and cheese would be impossible to send to school with DS. He lives on pb & j and that is out... so mac and cheese is the 2nd fave of his.
