Re: Friends Academy Preschool Program
I workout with a mom whose DD will be starting Kindergarten there in a few weeks and I one of my friends husbands went there. He loved it. It's about $20k for prek, at least when I looked into it a few years ago.

No that isn't a typo. The lower grades cost about 19k and upper and maybe middle are about 28k a year.
To the OP I graduated from there but I didn't do elemantary levels. I went there starting in 8th. I used to volunteer in their kindergarten if you have any questions.

Re: Friends Academy Preschool Program
Thanks for all of the responses. We're actually enrolling DC in a half-day pre-nursery program for twos. $4000-not $20,000-but $20K may be the rate for the older kids. I'm trying not to think about that right now....lol.

I would call - I'm almost positive this isn't the case for the 2,3 and 4 program. I didn't look into Friends but, I looked into Buckley and Holy Child which are both on par and in the same area and although the upper grade levels are that price it's MUCH lower - like 12 or under for 2,3 and 4 at least - Buckley's 2's program was around $4000 something which I assume would be the same for friends (2 days a week). For the nursery grades they are actually not that out of the range of the other private schools.
Other than that, I don't know anything about the friends preschool program at all.

Sorry - just saw this after I posted. Yes, that sounds right and on par with the other schools. How many days is that for?

Friends Academy Preschool Program
Have you been to take a tour of it? I went and was NOT impressed at all. They said they were renovating bit it just stunk like dirty diapers. That may be bc the room was combined with infants during reno but i dont know Inthat area i would def look at portledge. It was a fantastic program. If i lived closer dd would be going there. Also check out greenvale

Re: Friends Academy Preschool Program
The infant and toddler rooms are temporarily housed in a conference room while they renovate the permanent rooms. I will be returning soon to see the actual rooms, but I was impressed by the grounds and the very large indoor track where kids play during bad weather. They are also almost done with a state of the art playground for the kids. Portledge looked amazing but at $7000 for a similar program, it was a bit steep. I'll look at Greenvale too. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Friends Academy Preschool Program
We're actually in Williston Park. All of our local programs were either booked solid or had poor facilities. We felt a little bit better about the commute once we learned that there were a number of people who commuted from the south shore.
