nursing pillow?
For you ladies that nursed - did you get the my brest friend pillow? i looked at it in the store, and wasnt really impressed.
Am I underestimating it? Maybe I just forget how little a newborn is..
ADVICE - please and thanks!

nursing pillow?
I used it once with my twins. Then I used a boppy because only one twin took to the breast. I found the my breast friend was more of a pita than anything. But if you plan on nursing them both at the same time, I would probably get it.

Re: nursing pillow?
If you want to nurse them together IMO it is necessary.
It is big and bulky but it does the job!

Re: nursing pillow?
I would have been LOST without this in the beginning. Even if I was just nursing 1 baby the size of it was a plus. Yes it is HUGE, but so worth it IMO. I liked it so much more then a boppy. I felt it gave sooooo much more stability, especially when everyone is just learning.
Having 2 boppies is also a life saver, just not necessarily for nursing.

Re: nursing pillow?
I'm using one right now and I love it! Makes nursing them together so easy and completely hands free. Def a must IMO.

ITA!!
I tandem nursed when we were home and it was a MUST. I wouldn't have made it to 12 months without it!
I didn't carry it everywhere. When we were out I nursed them individually. But when we were home the only way I'd nurse them was together and on the my breast friend pillow.
The boppy just didn't offer enough support.

While I was in the hospital I had an amazing nurse who got them both to latch on. They were 2 days old.
I tried again when we got home (had my sister help me) and it happened for about 5 minutes.
After that if I had someone around to help me with their latch (DH, my mom, sister, etc) I'd nurse tandem. If no one was home I'd nurse them separately.
By the time they were a month old they were both fairly good with their latch and I was consistently tandem nursing.
