Dance in Suffolk

Looking for a good dance school for my 4-year old DD. Anywhere from Setauket to Miller Place is preferred, but will travel in Suffolk if it's a great school. Thank you!

Marchand's in Miller Place is nice. I've heard good things about Inspirations in Selden. Michelle Ferraro's in Coram I've also heard good things, but I think it's more of a competitive school if that is what you are looking for.

My DD goes to The Ballet Center in Ronkonkoma. It's not a fancy studio like Marchand's, but the focus is more on really learning, than on the recital/costumes, etc. It's very affordable ($300 for the year if you pay in advance), and they have a ton of classes aside from ballet (tap hip hop theater, etc.). I also like that they have the Nutcracker in December, and the students can audition for a part (my DD got one). They also offer scholarships to the students as well.

Thank you both for the replies. I'm thinking the Ballet Center is more out speed. I've heard how crazy these things can get. My goddaughter is in dance and just the registration alone was packed. My friend calls it a cult. Haha

An girl I knew in HS owns On The Edge in Port Jeff Station.. I've seen videos of her kids dance and they are amazing, plus her posts on Facebook to and about her students are always so inspirational, positive and kind (she's no Abby Lee Miller lol!)

If I had a daughter I'd most definitely send her there.
