Gina, wait until you see my shits tomorrow. They are bad. And they are pretty bad from the first time I get up in the morning. They hurt to walk, and are very tight. It sucks. But I'm guessing it comes with the territory. Just take it easy and I'll be sure to provide you with an ottoman for tomorrow.

Re: for the gilrs who have swollen feet for mostof the day
My feet and ankles have been swollen since about 17 or 18 weeks and I'm only carrying one baby! The only time they look somewhat normal is when I first wake up, otherwise they're huge all day, every day. They also feel very tight and tender all the way up my calves.
My doc says it's nothing to worry about, it's just par for the course sometimes.

Yes and they hurt when I walk. I'm like you, my BP is fine and no protein in the urine. Each week I feel like I retain more fluid though. The doc isn't concerned but it makes me nervous. My fingers are also swollen and are so tight.

Re: for the gilrs who have swollen feet for mostof the day
Uhhh swollen feet stink! Mine were pretty bad with my twins starting at17 weeks. Mine were painful and stiff too and I could feel the water swish around.
Sitting with your feet down is the worst position even worse that standing or walking. At night try to lay down with your Ofeet up high not just on Pillows but maybe up on the back of the couch. Dh would massage them and toward the tops of my legs and a pedicure with cold water helped me feel better. It was just embarrassing showing my elephant feet! Hang in there
Eta: just keep an eye your bp my pre eclampsia snuck up on me

Re: for the gilrs who have swollen feet for mostof the day
I had extreme swelling and people kept assuming I had pre-eclampsia, but I didn't. I basically was told, (in the nicest way possible) that it is extremely hot and I am swelling badly because of having a "higher BMI" to begin with and because I never really rested while I was pregnant

Re: for the gilrs who have swollen feet for mostof the day
I was in a wedding yesterday. I got up at 5:30 am and didn't get home until after midnight. My legs/ankles/feet looked like they belong on someone who weighs a ton, lol. They were so stiff it was painful.
I had bad swelling with DD1 too. Just goes with the territory sometimes.
