LI dog parks
I feel like whenever I take my dog to the dog park, it is always empty. Since the dog parks on long island are really just empty muddy fields, if there aren't other dogs for her to play with, there is really no point in going. Has anyone been to a dog park that is actually used?

I thought West Hills was really, really nice. I believe they have two...one for little dogs and one for big dogs. There were lots of dogs there playing together.

There were lots at Blydenburgh and massapequa when I went. What I find is all the dogs are big. I have a Min Pin and he is all by himself in the little dog area! Massapequa had more small dogs though.... But I live in Northport!!!

Cedar Creek is pretty nice and usually there are a lot of dogs there.

My husband and I always take our dog around Northport. It's beautiful and always a ton of dogs to interact with.

We go to Cherry Ave in Sayville. It's small and very clean. The owners of the pets are very nice.

Thanks everyone, we went to West Hills yesterday and it was awesome! It was huge and well maintained and there were a ton of dogs for my dog to interact with. She already made a friend!

The massapequa one is really nice. When i took my dog there were tons of big and small dogs. They keep is really nice and there is a FB page and the people that go there regularly really try and keep it clean.
