checking preschools?
Hi there,
I am new here and just curious. I know you can check into daycares but, is there a way to check on preschools? Should they have specific licenses etc.? Also, any recommendations for questions I should ask? TIA

I would try to find some older moms too whose kids have gone on to kindergarten and ask them if they feel their kids were ready.

Hi there,
Actually to own a preschool there are not requirements by the state. Pretty crazy huh?! I own a preschool and I was amazed that this was ok. I however have 5 NYS teaching certificates and am a certified behaviorist. I would make sure that the staff are all certified and I would recommend references. many schools are shutting their doors because they are not run effectively. Good Luck!
