How long will wearing the same size last?

By sons are 24 months apart. They are both tall for their age and the older one is about 2-3 inches taller than the younger. They weigh almost the same (older one is skinny). They pretty much wear the same size clothes.

They share a room and I would really love to get rid of one of their dressers to make it a little more roomier. (also debating a trundle bed, since bunk beds were rejected after less than a year)

We plan on listing our house in the spring, but I realize that it could take a long time to sell. They will hopefully have their own rooms in a new house (although this will crush the younger one). Do you think they will stay the same size? Has anyone else had kids (non twins) in the same size clothes? Can I combine all of their clothes into one dresser/closet for a year or so?

My boys are 17 months apart. N is small for his age and A is big for his. They have been wearing the same size clothes AND shoes for the past 2 years and I don't see it changing any time soon.

It's hard to tell because one of them could go through a growth spurt at any time...

However, my girls are 20 mos apart and wear the same size clothes and shoes (older one is small, younger one big) and have been for over a year.

Do they share all their clothing? My girls share a room and each have their own wardrobe; I could never combine clothes into one drawer--I'd never tell them apart! I can't even do their laundry together for fear of mixing up the whole works!!!

In the past few weeks my DD finally went up a size. DD wore size 2T from 13 months-34 months old. She is now in 3T tops/bottoms but 4T in dresses. DD will be 3 years old next month.

DS gets about a year out of clothing. He just turned 5 this month and is in 5T. I expect him to wear this size for a few more months.

They mostly wear the same clothes - they are boys and don't really care. My younger son has a preference for no buttons on pants, but he will wear whatever.

They are 5 and 7 and wearing 7-8s mostly.
