Update- Beta # & Period

So as Pennycat very wisely replied just bc you get AF after miscarriage does not mean that you're beta is at 0. Well at least mine isn't which means lots of more waiting to go. Hope everyone here has better luck but just wanted to share because I know that I was totally unaware that this was even possible.

Ok so Monday I went for my weekly beta my number had dropped to 24 so I was told make another appointment in one week (dr said she thought it'd prob be another week or two before I was down to 0). Low and behold, I just got AF which I was both surprised and happy about it bc I was told once I get AF we can start up my FET cycle, so I called the RE office and the nurse told me that even though I got AF that doesn't mean the beta # is 0 and I have to go in tomorrow to check & if not wait for another cycle :( So I'm just confused does anyone have any experience with this or can interpret this better? TIA i know I'm going to have my questions answered tomorrow but any helpful info would be appreciated

Unfortunately, the nurse you spoke to is correct. I had multiple on and off bleeding episodes over 4 months while I waited for my beta to get down to 0. I also found that the lower it got, the shower it dropped. I wish I had something better here to say, but you just have to wait and see what the bloodwork says.

I'm surprised she said you can start up immediately with a negative beta though. I had many losses and was always told I had to wait a month because of inflammation. Even after my chemical (which only had a beta of 15 at the time of bloodwork) I was told to wait a month....

Thanks Pennycat! Ugh! I had mentally prepared myself for waiting a few more weeks and being patient and this just totally messed with me. I'm hoping my number is at 0 tomorrow but I'm glad I know this info so I know realistically that there is a chance it won't be. Thanks again I really appreciate your help!!
