A word to the wise for when your kids hit 5th grade!

Since I helped out with the school yearbook & did the 5th grade class video, I thought I'd throw this out there for anyone looking to submit pictures when their kids hit 5th grade....

For our school,
We were not supposed to include photos that were not school related. That means photos taken at home for first day of school pictures, Halloween pictures, birthday party, etc.

We also needed photos to include as many kids from the school as possible. Meaning if you have a photo of 1 kid, it will likely get scratched for a photo of that 1 kid with as many other kids that we can find. So for the first day of school, if you're dragging your kid into school or taking photos when they're getting off the bus, try to get groups or some friends in the shots.

Photos that include family members or siblings from different grades get axed too.

Any school event you go to - field day, fun runs, Halloween parades, dances, etc, keep it in mind if you're looking to help out that yearbook committee.

and if you can keep your photos in folders by the year/grade, that's even better.
