best birthday parties?
DS' birthday is literally around the corner and i have not booked anything. Everytime I see something, I find a reason not to have it there. I am concerned about the cost, whether he and his friends from school will be ok, whether his NT friends will have fun, blah blah blah. To give an example, I just saw a deal on LivingSocial for an Art Birthday Party at Studio E in Miller Place. Then I started thinking that DS has an attending problem, is just going to want to run around after 10 seconds? Then i was thinking fund4all, but the place is so big, it is going to be more like open place and then it will be on a weekend when it is crowded. I then considered Yaphank Farm but what if some kids are afraid of animals and it irritates me that somethign that is normally a free experience is $15 a person and includes almost nothing....argh...help???

Wood Kingdom is great, they do a private party and they can run around all they want! I did one for my ASD son when he was little, and all of the kids from his class enjoyed it (they were all special needs).

Ice Cream Party Shoppe in Smithtown. They play games, do dancing, and at the end, get to make their own sundae. DS has had some fun parties (tumbling tunes, ice cream shoppe & bowling). I think they were all great, ice cream shoppe was nice.
We've also been to Wood Kingdom. Lots of fun.

Re: best birthday parties?
I thought the ice cream shop was fun up until we moved into the room for ice cream. If your son has a hard time attending like mine you will see him going through all the candy jars, cand bins, running behind the counters, touching and knocking off all their front displays...he would not just sit on a stool and eat ice cream.
I recommend a bounce place like hop n bop in smithtown. Its not so big so you can find him, very clean, friendly staff. Reasonably priced coupons are out ther all the time. Small clean party room to eat pizza and cake. They have a website to check out.

Mine too.
DS can never get enough of the bouncy houses. We just did his birthday at Kangaroo Kids, and I was very pleased. The price was reasonable, included 15 kids and pizza, and the place isnt too big.
