Thing 1 Thing 2 theme
So I am planning my  1st birthday in November. What was going to be a small party at home for immediate family has now spiraled into a 70 person party at a catering hall with a DJ.
Like DH says at least we get 2 for the price of 1 party . Anyway, so we've decided the theme is going to be thing 1 thing 2. Any advice other than using etsy? Which I am already looking at (and boy are the $ adding up  ).
My shower wasn't thing 1 thing 2 so I don't have anything I could have used from that. Just looking for any advice? Feeling very overwhelmed all of a sudden. TIA.

Thing 1 Thing 2 theme
My twins will be One October 28. YEAH!!! I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. My friend is doing the same theme as you & her party is 9/29 I would say try to find someone who is doing the same theme & buy the stuff from them........save so much money!!!!

omg i have so much stuff!
this is our shower theme!
i did get a lot from etsy i won't lie
but i also worked a lot with the colors...red white and blue..things were easy to find in that theme
candy,candy apples,we made cake stands for cupcakes...we bought 1 dollar blue martini glasses turned them upside down and glued them to 1dollar blue and white plates to hold cupcakes
also look into circus theme stuff bc they have plenty of red and white
u r more than welcome to anything i have from the shower...i have a thing 1 thing 2 banner. it says' it si tweinds but u can def have it..along with cake stands and on the cake stand we have a blue vase which we put one red one white one blue flower in it
also i got white Styrofoam rings from michaels wrapped some red ribbon around and got red and white swirl lollipops from oriental trading and stuck them in as a holder
and def ask around of the boards,u will be surprised how crafty people r
and look for the etsy purchases where u get the pdf and print yourself..that saved us a lot,they were super cheap
i will def send u some pics of the shower if u wantr and u can have anything u want!

I'm planning my twins first birthday for 9/29, so far I got some stuff from Etsy, like blue boa for fish bowl centerpieces, banners, hanging quotes from dr suess. I definitely need more ideas. I also got part of their outfits on Etsy. I'm wearing Thing Mom shirt and my hubby is wearing a Thing Dad shirt. I'm going to try to make cupcakes with blue cotton candy, but I don't have a lot of spare time. I'm not sure about favors yet.

Yes, if you don't mind can u send me pics of the shower and I can see what I can use. That way I can see what I would still need to get.
We are doing a candy table also and I have been looking at red and blue candy like crazy!!!!

I saw the Thing Mom and Thing Dad shirts on Etsy. Adorable!!! Yes, DH and I keep arguing about the theme. I like to keep it strictly to Thing 1 Thing 2 (as much as possible anyway) and he thinks we should do a whole Dr. Seuss theme.
My niece offered to make the thing 1 thing 2 cupcakes which is awesome. She is so creative. We are doing a candy buffet and I'm just letting that be the favor. I wish I was creative but am so not that person.
I saw tons of ideas on pinterest but I hear you I have no free time! I work full time and am pregnant with my 3rd . This party is fun but exhausting.

Gina, I saw your ticker. My due date last year was December 8th!!!! My boys wanted to be born on mommy's birthday 11/20 so they were a little early You'll be planning your twins 1st birthday this time next year!!!!
