Getting Ready For Winter
Help please. Can someone tell me what kind of outerwear I really need for my 15 month old. Does he really need a snowsuit? Can I just get him a good winter coat (something like they have at the Gap)?
What are you using for your toddler this winter?

Re: Getting Ready For Winter
DD was around that age last winter. I did NOT get a snow suit. They can't wear it in the carseat and it barely snowed. Even if it did snow, I wasn't planning on having her roam around in the freezing snow so there was no need. They can't even wear a heavy coat in the car seat- so that was a waste for me to. This year I have to find a heavy, yet light weight jacket- for the carseat. I think Lands Ends makes one...

Children's Place sells a 3 in 1 jacket that I got DD last year (she was 9 mths at Christmas). I really liked this jacket and plan on buying it again this year.

Getting Ready For Winter
I got a warm coat and snow pants at Carter's last Spring for $12 on clearance. DD will be 17-19 months in the Winter and I would like to take her out in the snow sledding/building snowmen. We also still go for walks as long as its above 40 degrees.

I love this jacket! I got 2 years use out of it and my mom just bought ds a new one for his birthday. The fleece is great for the fall/milder days and the heavy jacket it great for the colder & snowy days. It isn't puffy so you can use it in the car...
ETA: I have snow pants that ds got good use out of. We used the same pair 2 years in a row, but I think we only used them once last year. He's 3 now so we'll definitely be buying a new pair this year.
