need help asap!

hi all,

i'm a regular user in hiding. i need advice quick!

my best friend's wedding is in 7 days! my bridesmaid dress does not fit. It's too small! It was ordered too small but the store blames me (that's a moot point anyway)

MIL is trying to let it out as much as possible, but because of the awful way it's made she can only do so much. What can I do to make sure this dress looks at leas decent if not good? (already wearing spanx and they help some but not enough)


i'm desperate and so sad and angry with myself! please help!

You need to find a good seamstress ASAP! They may be able to do something. How much too small is it? Do you have extra fabric, like from cutting off the bottom for the hem, or does any of the other bridesmaids? An experienced seamstress can often add a small panel and make it look like it belongs.

Where do you live? Maybe somebody can recommend a good seamstress where they live. I'm in Centereach, and there is a great place on Middle Country Rd. "Rosie's".

Unfortunately, Spanx and water pills can only do so much.
