Anyone here trying for a third?

I am a nervous nelly, I have to have c-sections. I tried with my oldest and I was in labor for 16hrs, with no dilation at all, so my next I had another c-section.

I have a boy and a girl, and someone said to me recently, "then you must be done, you have one of each"

but I want one more, so bad! I have the worst baby fever, in an ideal world I would have 4, but now I feel like I am selfish for wanting a 3rd or that something bad is going to happen since I got so lucky with the first two. I am a wreck thinking about the c-section, not even the pain, just the what ifs, blood clots scare me, i've never had one, but just the thought of it and that it can occur after a c-section has me shaking in my boots.

I so want another baby but I am terrified, and my daughter is so against another one, I almost feel like it's a sign...is this silly? sorry this is so long, I had one thought and they all came out, lol!

I am in the same boat as you! I also have a boy and a girl and both were c-sections. My first was an emergency c-section like you also.

We want to try for a third this fall. I always wanted 3 or 4 children, but I know I will most likely stop after the third. My two kids are 1 and 3 now, so if we do end up pregnant this fall they will all be 2 years apart. I am more worried about going from 2 to 3, than the complications of having another c-section.

I think you should try for a third, bc you may regret it if you don't. Since your last two c-sections went well, I am sure the third section will go smoothly as well.

How old are your kids?

Me ! Such strong baby fever. My kids want another too. My oldest goes around wishing for a baby to grow in my belly.

Me! I would also be having a third c section, which terrifies me. I hope I'm not putting myself in danger, but I want another baby badly. It's not an easy decision. I'm giving myself a few months

Me!!! I have 2 boys and just always wanted more. This will be our last baby though. I took a break this month but hoping to get pregnant shortly after.

My kids are 13 and 5, so there will be a nice age difference.

I know most people probably would be aware of the possibilities of a blood clot, but i just fixate on it. I have an anxiety disorder to begin with, so that doesn't help! lol. I just wish I could fast forward to a year from now and just know that everything is okay.

I definitely want that baby, I just hate the anxiety and stress that goes with it! I am going to make an appt with my obgyn to go over with him my fears.

I just keep envisioning these situations in my head of things going wrong and my kids being left without a mom, and it's driving me crazy.

Sorry for venting, I just need somewhere to talk about it, my husband is totally understanding and tries to help and reassure me, and I am trying to get past it, but I am sure he is sick of hearing it!

Me! I have two boys 2 and 4. I had a miscarriage in August and just waiting for my first cycle to start again. We've been very lucky the first 3 times it happened quickly so hoping for a short stay on this board.

me too....i could've written your post myself! i actually have no worries about being able to handle a third child in our crazy little world if we would be blessed with another....all my fears lie with the pregnancy and the third csection....i think of all horrible scenarios as well.....what helps me when my mind goes all crazy with what ifs is i tell myself that even if i had a vaginal delivery something could go wrong as well so i cant dwell on the what ifs of the csection.....i actually had a ton of anxiety that brought me to several doctors my first month of ttcing for a third bc of all these random crazy fears, so i finally just got to a point where i said will i let these fears make my decision to say no to trying....and my answer to myself was no, if i let these fears stop me when having a second my first would have never had her sister who she loves more than anything in this world....so now im onto to the third month of trying and im trying to stay as calm as i can be .....hugs and babydust for ya

I hate thinking like this. And I know that blood clots are pretty rare, and really they come along with even being pregnant. Any type of surgery where you are immobile, puts you at risk.

I plan on walking a lot! and I mean a lot! Hopefully that will keep things moving, I am also going to eat disgustingly healthy and just take care of myself, as scared as I am , I want another one, my family just doesn't feel complete.

I just hate the scenarios in my head, and I try to push them out with happy thoughts once they start, but it's so scary!!

I actually just suffered a miscarriage, it was confirmed today

But i got pregnant the first try and felt good about that. Just going to relax, take a month to get my cycle on track and going to try again.

I look at things this way..there are certain things I have no control over in life...but i won't let fear stop me from having the three kids i've always wanted.

I'm only on #2, but I just wanted to say that my sister had 4 c-sections and they all went perfectly smoothly and she had no complications whatsoever. So try not to worry so much! I know, easier said than done
